The Heart of Our Support Program
Our approach is simple, but deeply respectful. We start by listening — really listening — because no two situations are the same. A volunteer might help someone fill out Centrelink forms in Dari or Hazaragi, removing the fear that comes with paperwork in an unfamiliar language. Another might connect a family to food relief, donated clothes, or emergency rental assistance.
We work closely with local services — legal aid, mental health providers, and domestic violence support — ensuring that when someone comes to us with a need beyond our scope, they never leave without a warm referral. It’s not about fixing everything at once. It’s about being a steady presence, one step at a time.
Small Acts, Lasting Impact
What makes this program powerful is that it’s driven by people from within the community itself. Many of our volunteers know these struggles firsthand.
